2020 is a wrap and we finished strong! Having some fantastic fishing all year here in Crystal River, we expect the same in 2021! Starting out in our winter months the redfish and trout fishing help up and provided anglers with constant action! Once our sheephead fishery started, it allowed anglers to target these hard fighters on our nearshore rocks! These sheepshead are a crowd favorite and they really check all the boxes for all levels of anglers. Redfish, snook and trout became the targets once the water warmed and we had to change our tactics up to catch them, once we figured them out it was all summer long of catching fish.
Our scalloping this year was great! Plenty of scallops on each trip, it was a really busy summer taking families and friends to go experience scalloping on the nature coast!
We rounded the year off on our inshore grouper fishing, I my self prefer casting large diving lure to these mean creatures in less than 10ft of water. Truly shallow water. We had to work hard at the end due to some cool weather but came out on top.
Thank you to everyone who fished with me and I’ll see most of y’all in 2021!
